Hot dip galvanizing is lower in first cost than many common specified protective coatings for steel.

Even in the cases when the initial cost of hot dip galvanising is higher than the alternative coatings, Hot dip galvanizing is almost invariable more cost effective in the long term because it last longer and needs less maintenance.

The life expectancy of Hot Dip Galvanizing coatings on typical sturctural members is far in excess of 50 years in most rural environments and 20-25 years plus in even severe urban and coastal exposure.

Galvanizing at Webforge (NZ) is carried out to the appropriate AS/NZ 4680 Standards for Hot Dip galvanizing. The Hot Dip Galvanizing coating has a unique metallurgical structure which gives outstanding resistance to mechanical damage in transportation erection and service.
