Design Criteria

The figures shown in the Table of Loads and Deflections have been calculated in accordance with S.A.A Steel Structures Code - AS3990 for steel having a minimum yield strength of 260 MPA as required by AS3679 Part 1.

Steel

Stock Panels available in a range of sizes that varies from location to location, below is the standard range. The load bar size and pattern does not have an effect on the available size. This is a function of the machine capacity and the length of the flat bars available. Non-standard panels are available on request but lead times will be longer than for standard panels. In New Zealand the standard size is 900 x 6000

Stainless Steel

Stock Panels can be manufactured in the same range of sizes indicated above for mild steel. Because of the lesser demand than for mild steel no size can be regarded as standard. Panels are made to suit particular requirements but the limitation will be the width shown above and the length available flat bars. The latter is generally 4000mm
